It’s rare these days, but this evening I had a legit excuse to change things up a bit. We had a business casual event to attend tonight, so I went with the Newport. I snapped these pics while waiting for my wife; which is another rare oddity in that she’s usually the one waiting on me.

Anyway, we’re two hours in, I’m bored and sitting at the table catching up on this thread. Lol, I’d say it’s a safe bet the knife doesn’t leave my pocket tonight....but we all know it’s better to have it and not need it than......

Going threw my modest knife stash and found my BHQ Exclusive Osborne. Forgot I even had it and what a pleasant surprise that was honored with Friday’s carry along with the little Case Red Stag Stockman again.

View attachment 1529786 This is a Buck Selector with a TiN BuckCote blade. The blade is chisel sharpened, and the ceramic coating at 82HRC is exposed on the micro edge. The coat is much harder than the substrate, so the steel wears away in preference to the coat. The knife is self sharpening. The single bevel is twice as acute as a double bevel, so the knife is inherently twice as sharp as one with a regular blade.View attachment 1529785
