I carried my combo-edge 551BK for Micarta Monday while digging in and building some PT landscape timber steps in the gap in the boulder retaining wall extending out from our garage/woodshop/gym and leading up toward the fabric Quonset structure that used to house our boat. This was my first Grip and first pair of aftermarket scales and was a fairly regular work user back in the day. The serrations came in very handy hacking out all the annoying, small roots just under and below the thin layer of sandy loam.
