XM-18 3.5 this morning, 0640 on my desk beside me all day, and the newly-arrived Malibu (courtesy of the ever-awesome TenShun705
!) will be riding with me this afternoon.
I've tried three clips on the 0640 and always returned to the stock clip; I'm apparently in the minority, but I quite like it. And the Malibu...man, now I get what the fuss is all about! It's such a logical follow-up to the Cambria, with even more minimal embellishments and 20CV steel. The only markings are on the spine of the blade, and that sterile, minimalist quality looks kind of boring in product photos -- but in person, it's sublime.
I've owned exactly two knives which will drop shut when held at about a 30-35 degree angle: the Cambria, and now this one. ProTech's manual button locks are just perfection.
My collections tends strongly towards earth tones and titanium...but blue has always been represented. When I see the "right" blue, I know I'm down for it.
Mail call! Finally snagged a CKF milk after searching for some time and it doesn't disappoint. Long yet slender and carries well at only 4.25oz for 9.5” overall, amazing action, and hand rubbed satin is always nice. Im diggin it
