EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

ZT0562 on the job today. It's actually taken me a while to warm to this knife as I have trouble disengaging the lock, what with the last two fingers on my hand crippled from arthritis and industrial accidents. The flipper tab, thumbnail, detent ball catching the edge of the tang coincidence is kinda annoying too, but it's an otherwise great design, slim in pocket, solid in hand, excellent cutter, and has great flipping action not dependent on a stupidly stiff detent.

I always have a quality folder on me at the job site, but it's rare that it's used for much but cutting the occasional strap, opening boxes, or sharpening my pencil, actual carpentry tools or a retractable utility knife doing the dedicated work much better. The ZT did a fine job cleaning up the residual strands left from the repetitive saw kerfs I had to cut to plow out the back of a deck counter board beyond the stand-up capability of my 10" table saw. Pencil came out wicked sharp too. :)

I was going through my knife drawer looking for some original boxes to send some blades to Josh at Razor Edge Knives for some very special attention when I looked down and saw my long in the tooth Benchmade Stryker Auto looking back at me as to say “what about me!” I couldn’t say no to an old friend so she’s going to accompany me in my pocket today.334EB8A2-09B7-4519-8D67-41D326B5A9EE.jpeg
