Only when they are complaining about those long days, I tried Epson salts last year and got fairly good results. This year I used chicken manure in the fall and Miracle grow bloom food. The temps are going down starting tomorrow to 75 degrees and hold for a couple of days, a lot better then the 95 plus this last weekend. But as you said, there's always fried green tomatoes.woodysone do you use Epsom salts on your tomatoes (or other veggies)?
I’m like you in that respect. I’ll mix Epsom salt and water and spray them directly if they’re turning yellow for no reason. It seems the jolt of magnesium helps them. About every three weeks I’ll put half of a handful around the base and water them in. At least you don’t have to worry about burning them up with Epsom salts or Miracle Grow.Only when they are complaining about those long days, I tried Epson salts last year and got fairly good results.
