EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

It’s a fantastic knife. Not too big, not too small, lightweight with a clip that works well on any fabric. It doesn’t feel and handle as small as you might think, and usually I’m a fan of larger 4” blades.

That's great to hear! I've been struggling to convince myself to buy one, but I'm not quite sure yet. The Dirac is on my list and its much cheaper, and I love my utx 85 which is only slightly larger. How does the Hera compare to those two if you've tried both?

The Hera is a bit more beefy than those, especially the Dirac. The Hera is a bit more in line with the Troodon in size, but it’s overall a bit less tactical looking. Softer lines, no glass breaker, and a modernized clip. The Dirac is very pointy and rather delicate, the UTX85 is just slim and basically a smaller Ultratech. Here’s a comparison to the Dirac.

I liked my UTX 85 much better then my Dirac.

Haha good know . I love my 85 especially since it’s a bounty hunter. When I held the Dirac I enjoyed the action a bit more. It was smoother and easier to actuate.

Do you find you have to strop often, or does the dog stay sharp through a full day's work?

For sure but I guess it’s just a matter of preference.
Many have come and gone for me but my 85 still lives lol.

This baby was born mid May and kept jumping out of her bird house before she could fly. I picked her up and put her back so many times that week, I think I may have imprinted on her because now that she’s flown the coop and lives I don’t know where, she will still fly right down next to me anytime she spots me outside and follows me around. Here she’s just hanging around with me while doing single wing yoga stretches and hoping for some bread crumbs.
