To be honest, when I first held it I wasn't sure. The curve of the blade and large index finger area of the handle brings the blade/tip down low and produces what I'd best describe as a forward leaning grip. However, after using several times, it really started to grow on me. The handle is actually very comfortable and easy to manipulate the blade for detail work. I'm also enjoying the carbon steel, its handled everything I've thrown at it so far. It doesn't hold an edge like some steels, but its super easy to sharpen and easy to touch up with a few light passes. I do wish there was a small bit of jimping for your thumb, would help with the forward style grip it presents. The sheath was meh, zero retention, but
Sharp & Fiery
was able to solve that problem for me.
Will be watching out for pics of your new necker... Pinch?
