Been a busy week so I haven't been posting much. Hoping to end off the week by getting out in the woods a bit.

I took a little time to work on knives yesterday and figured I'd swap out the pivot bearings in my Firetac just to so see how it would feel with the PB's out and the BB's in, not that I minded the former at all as the the knife is Sebenza smooth as it came to me. Anyway, I got everything together and the knife apart only to find that the TriWay kit was the wrong size. I'd bought the Hinderer on the Exchange from one of our solid members who'd bought it from AZCK with the same parts bag he delivered to me. Soooo, I put everything back together as it was, wrote to RHK, and they'll send me a full kit with the Teflon and Phosphur Bronze washers including the steel spacers and add the Ball Bearings in their retainers, as their knives come with those installed, for like 10 bucks plus shipping.

In the meantime I gave the Micarta a nice bath, oiled the washers, and am carrying my still hydraulically smooth Firetac today--I'll just have to wait a bit to try it out with the BB pivot.
