Fall here on the Cape is absolutely my favorite season. A taste of the better parts of summer stays late with none of the mugginess or oppressive heat of that season. Sure there's just that bit of coolness in the air, especially evenings and overnight, but the sun is still nice and warm when it's out, the leaves stay green late, and the surrounding water--especially here on the bayside, tho' the ocean's hardly far away--will keep things nicely temperate for some time to come.

I was sitting in a chair in front of our main shed enjoying that warmth while J worked in the garden, holding on to the end of our housecat's tether, and thinking about taking a couple pics of today's carry on the stump I often use for those, but Willey decided that was his perch to enjoy his share of the warmth. I didn't feel much like moving either....

J came back for Willey after a while and I ended up taking my Sinuous Swish Saturday Snapshots in another nearby spot anyway.
