The Bugout is looking sexy in the new red jacket, and makes a nice couple with my new copper cadet in the blood red sheath. The cadet is a great sidekick to any knife.

Well, I missed another day with med appointments, holiday prep, and family arriving from the left coast. I did manage pics, though, for Micarta Monday, shot, most conveniently, in my dump trailer just outside our front door. Great holiday decoration that, as we're still in the midst of the roof project.

With a better steel and better construction, I think this might have saved Schrade. I think it might have been ahead of its time- aluminum handled, coated “tactical” blade, simple no nonsense build- I had to take it apart and get it put together properly out of the box, but it’s growing on me. I brought it to work as a beater but I’m starting to like it more and more
