My wife has gotten quite accustomed to me snapping and sharing knife pics and even occasionally suggests an interesting background here or up north. She generally refers to y'all as my "Imaginary Friends" despite my fervent belief that at least most of you are actually real people. On a side note, my wife sauntered outside while I was taking these pics this evening. No eye roll, no “What ya doing?”…..not even the typical little amused snicker she gives me when she catches me taking pics of my knives or watches. It was like absolutely nothing odd was happening in our front yard. Lol, I guess she’s finally resigned herself to the idea that this is a key element to how I enjoy my hobbies. So no more sneaking around….I’m outta the closet now. Heck, she even referred to you guys as my “Online Forum Wives”.
Ok, maybe I shared a bit too much. Back in the closet I go.
Nice Wilkins! I also am not a big fan of the stock Grip scales. I have a mini Ritter grip with G11 scales back home and I used to have a Gold Series Grip that I switched the blade out to be a M4 Ritter grip blade. That thing was awesome! You'll get no argument from me on Grips being excellent EDCs, says the man who has owned 8 and still has 6. I do have an issue with the stock Noryl handles, though, as I find the plastic jimping very uncomfortable in hand. Of the eight, three wore Igorded scales, four Wilkins, and one is stock, though it's a 551-1702 KW exclusive in black paper Micarta. I sold two of the Igordeds--a matched 550B/555B pair in orange sculpted G10s--as they were really too pretty to carry, use, and mark up, but the others all get fairly regular turns in pocket, considering how many knives I've managed to accumulate over the years.
Anyway, all this Grip talk got me to pocket one of mine today--the 550 in 154CM with Wilkins (Wednesday) flamed Ti scales and Kevin's bright deep-carry clip. It's a bit blingy for me, but is one I still enjoy carrying and using.

Come on in man the water is fine ha. I’m kinda the same lazy, it’s become more out of laziness to swap knives than anything. I know I want to swap back to an Inkosi but I just don’t ever think about changing. Maybe this weekendWell this knife is definitely not a CRK nor is it left-handed, but I seem to be wading ever-deeper intoDcdavis waters as it's now become 3 days straight for me carrying the Wilson Combat Eagle. It's more a matter of just being too rushed to change out lately than an actual desire to carry the same knife daily, though that's likely a lot of what motivates our ever-busy friend as well.
Anyway, I guess this could be a Thick-Thin Thursday as the Eagle's CTS-XHP thinnish 0.125" blade stock is surprisingly thick behind the edge while its Ti handle is exceptionally thin, though broad, making it both easy in pocket and super solid in hand. I shot these at my client's Cape house after going over an LCC chimney-top shroud I have to build for my mason to install and while taking measurements for re-roofing materials for their back out-building.
