Came with some stickers and cleaning cloth.

The liner lock is pretty thin. Not sure how I feel about that. I can wiggle the blade a bit and watch the liner move. Lots of room for gunk to get into the bearings. It's "drop shutty" though. Will work great for the InstaBookTube likes!

I like the size, blade profile, and the micarta. It came very sharp.

I have never used this steel type before. Should be fun to try out and see how it feels on stones.

Milled out a bit. It has tweezers in one of the scales. It's actually pretty cool and seems more robust than one on a SAK.

Howd you do that patina? Little drops of mustard?
Precisely! Drops of mustard, with some apple cider vinegar mixed in for good measure (not sure if necessary but I like the results so I just always add it). Applied with a toothpick. Then let it sit for about a half an hour, rinse, and repeat. It's the overlapping from the second coat where the colors really come out. There's a pretty good tutorial on YouTube where a guy does it on a Opinel.

For the main blade I just let it happen naturally with a couple weeks of fruit cutting. I pretty much do this with all of my multi-blade carbon steel knives, letting the main blade patina naturally then forcing one on the secondary blade.

I know this is not what you were asking, but for anyone interested here's how I put a patina on the brass flashlight. Make a mix of apple cider vinegar and salt in a container. Then use metal screen (or something similar) to cerate a shelf where the item can rest above the liquid. Put the item in, close the container and let the fumes from the mixture do the work without the liquid ever touching the item.

Anyhow, some more pics of blades I've done this to:

Waaaay too many pics Wednesday? Sorry folks, I’m making up for lost time here on the forums and got a wee-bit carried away snapping pics today. I simply couldn’t decide whether to go with indoor or outdoor shots….so I went with both.

I’ll make my peace tomorrow by promising to post just one pic. You know, of each side of the knife…in different types of lighting….

But on a serious note, I gotta tell ya’ I absolutely love this 3.25”. I can only imagine what some of the engraved, regular sized SHFs must feel (and look) like in hand.

And I may catch some flack for saying this, but for a little less coin than an inlaid small 31, I’m kinda feeling like this one is a bit of a value proposition. The trade off being the Nichols Damascus for the Sebenza’s inlay. Side by side, I’d have a tough time choosing one over the other. Is that gonna get me run outta here? I mean, I’m just calling ‘em as I sees ‘em.

Anyway, it’s definitely one of my favorite acquisitions to date…
