My cheap but dependable SRM 9202-GW. Great little budget gem.

My first axis lock. Of course, I had to break it down entirely when I received it. Oiled and lubed and cleaned. Has four washers, two PB and two Teflon. Not sure I ever want to do that again, but I got 'er done and the action/deployment is awesome.

I had another sedentary day, working on the bill for my basement project to date as well as trying to fill an unexpectedly open game slot in our upcoming international basketball exchange, which made for a perfect Micarta Monday to carry my large 31 Natural. This one's still a light-carry EDC for me, though it's developed a snail trail and scuff or two over time. I stepped outside after hours at the desk on the computer, paper-tape machine, and phone for a few fresh pics on a suddenly chill late-March day with the temps dropping 25-30 degrees over the next couple before warming again later in the week.

Just got this Chaparral, thinnest Spydie I have seen, WOW! These Taichung knives have great F&F, this is the second one I've seen, and I love Seki knives, but this backlock is just twenty times smoother. It's not that those are bad, it's that this one is SO good, none of that tendency to snap shut, I can just... gently roll the blade closed. Fits perfectly in the watch pocket, too.

First carbon fiber anything I've had, so I don't have a comparison, but it seems really nice, catches the light in a beautiful way and feels good. First CTS-XHP I've had too, when I got it, I thought it was sharp, accidently, because it was so thin that it slices paper anyways, but it was skipping off my fingernail and I could see the light on the edge so I tuned it up, very easily, on the sharpmaker. Is not razor sharp, but slices paper nicely. This is stainless D2? Wow!
