When you turn your flash off and take pics in low light, there is a 3 second exposure time for the pic. I believe that caused your effect as you were moving your phone around during that 3 seconds.

Despite the fact that I've been posting here fairly regularly, I haven't been keeping up with the thread and other's posts as I've been busy and over-tired dealing with our now-concluded international basketball exchange and putting in a lot of hours on my project, trying to bring it to completion. By Tuesday I found myself over thirty pages in arrears and took advantage of a shortened afternoon for some R&R to catch up on a couple dozen.
I was following C CHNeal 's enjoyment of his new tanto 'Zaan, then noted his unfortunate accident. I got out my StarTac to check out, thinking about his inability to lock his knife with his thumb studs mis-aligned, and figured I might as well have a Wilson Working Wednesday. I'll carry it again today to make up for not posting yesterday.
I hope your 'Zaan comes back to you fully restored soon, brother....
