EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Always great pics!!

I was tempted to stay with the Tabargan again to today, as I really get into it sometimes, but instead the first knife I carried this morning was--What?!?--none? Despite always looking for something smaller and lighter to slip into my workout pants when I head over to our home gym, I found myself knifeless when I got there. I had everything I could do not to charge back over to the house to grab one, but I toughed it out on the treadmill and recumbent bike bladeless, figuring there are always sufficient sharp objects downstairs in the wood shop to grab should I start to Jones too violently.

Anyway, even though yesterday was technically Micarta Monday, I found myself catching up with my Mad for... thread this morning and opted for the Firetac which has become a true favorite and is the most hydraulically smooth and amazingly drop-shut PB-washered knife I've ever handled. It's also quite a looker, even if I do say so myself.

Lol….frikkin show off! I don’t think I could pull off that move just standing in my kitchen. Even then I’d probably have to put on my “indoor” helmet. While balanced on a fallen tree? No chance in hell.

But seriously, cool pic!

At risk of further derailing the thread, some of the photos you guys have been posting lately have triggered that “instantaneous-involuntary pucker-me-up-something-fierce sphincter-clench-o’-death” reaction in me. And yes, I do believe that’s the correct medical term for it.

We’ve got knives dangling from cables on the side of a bridge, knives hanging over the edge of sky-high balconies and mountainside cliffs…and knives precariously perched atop ladders that require the filing of a flight plan with the FAA.

And here I get the shakes just trying to set a knife on a low lying tree branch.

Gotta hand it to those of you with nerves of steel…..I truly enjoy the risky pics. Lol, maybe there should be a “Precariously Perched” picture thread……although I’d probably need a Valium to get myself through the door.
Glad to know that my boring office desk pictures brings comfort to someone here haha

This seems about right…

My family knows that I don't hold conversations until I'm at least holding a cup of coffee.

This is a Vero Engineering Axon liner lock. Red G 10. Just came in yesterday, carried it to work today. When I took it from my pocket after work, I noticed the marks on the handles. Has anyone ever seen anything like this ?

It's Titanium Tuesday!

I tried carrying this tiny frame lock from CH in a shirt pocket. It's not terrible in use but one-handed opening with my long fingers is a serious challenge. When it was time to open a few packages and cut down the boxes, I ended up reaching for the beater knife that lives atop my microwave.

I'm gonna relegate this little guy to "cute novelty" status.

Imagine waking up following too little sleep in a sewer tube hundreds of feet under water for months on end. 😂😂

BTW, I enjoy seeing the Para 3’s you’ve accumulated. That is probably my favorite modern folder, though I only have red G10 M390 from DLT and the white lightweight Rex 45 from GP knives.

Thank you! I had one before and sold it and came back to it and can't imagine getting rid of them again. It's been one of the knives that makes me question other knives I own.
