EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Just a few that I carry the most.

Nice collection, and you can never go wrong with Two Hearted.

Ok, now on to the last couple days' carry....

Friday was doctors' appointments and errands with the wife on the way back, so I brought along my Cheburkov Scout which is still in its light-carry, EDC phase, even after almost a year's ownership. Today it was going to the dump, doing some light chores around the property, and a couple hours at the job, measuring for the art storage units I'm building for my long-standing client. Now that my thumb's healed up I can deal with opening my CRKs and grabbed my WC large 21 Starbenza. Great knife, that.

Looking out the upstairs window of the house gallery at the garage--built both 20 years ago--that I've converted to an art studio for my client. It used to be her late husband's (and my friend's) work and storage area and I'm pleased to have some of his standing tools in my shop now. The high windows are original with the large awnings added with the conversion. At the rear is the shed addition for some of what used to be stored in the garage along with the outside shower built from cedar board reclaimed from the old shower and plant germinating racks.

It's hard to believe Benchmade is discontinuing the 550- and 551-1's, but they've already scotched so many fine knives in the last few years that I suppose it's not really surprising. I'd be tempted to pick one up at a discounted price if I didn't already own 6 Grips. At least my wife has a 550-1--her favorite EDC--so we do have one in the house. :D

The Grips aren't being discontinued. The base model is being "upgraded" to s30v and a full flat grind. The -1 is not being discontinued only the black bladed version (maybe the serrated too). No worries - the Grip is alive and well!

I must have missed this posting as I'm buried Sundays site-directing 8 or 9 youth b-ball games for my club. I agree with @abbazaba 's "Wow." Very sweet 801--nicest I've seen next to mine... ;)

Of course I'm afraid to use mine and yours looks like it was born to slip into your pocket and go to work.

Thanks for the kind words. Yours looks great as well. I was hoping for a more polished look on the sanded areas (like yours). Still working on my pimping techniques.

I know what's gone on with the stock Grips and discontinuation of the 154CM models--I bought a 556 for 74 bucks on clearance.
I got an email from KSF that the 551-1 was being discontinued and showing a satin bladed knife on clearance for $147. That knife now shows there as Out-of-Stock at their regular price. The 550-1 satin is available there at regular price, so I hope you're right and it was KSF's error.

How do you like that. Been ooogling custom versions for years. Might have to bite on that

Spyderco nailed this one! If you can get a custom I'd say go for it! Those are a bit too rich for my wallet at the moment, so this production collaboration is an outstanding alternative for now :D

Thanx! That one would fit better in my budget. Enjoy it. It looks great.

So I’m out on a little weekend road trip with the family for some fun in the snow. I couldn’t decide if I should bring my Sebenza, Emerson Horseman, or Laconico Keen. I was about 2 hours away from home when I realized I forgot to put a knife in my pocket. But that dreaded feeling quickly went away cuz I had this in my “EDC travel bag”

Whew! Good save. I keep a Boker AK-74 in my center console for just such occasions.
The flip side to that coin for your scenario though would have been a great excuse to find a knife/outdoor store and purchase another one.
