EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This one was momentarily pocketed for Wooden Wednesday, then set aside out of favor for a fluted Wooden Wilson Combat carry, but it fit just as well for Throwback Thursday when selected this morning. I'm prepping today for that medical test that shall go unnamed tomorrow. I don't know what's worse--not eating all day today or taking all that stuff to clean out my pipes. At least I'll be done early in the morning....

If I didn't have to fast, I'd make sure they'd buy me dinner before I'd let 'em have their way with me. An old friend of my Dad's said he turned to the Doc during such a procedure and asked, "Does your mother know what you do for a living?"

I've been enjoying this little Bestech Bandit. The action is good. The lock-up is solid. I'm especially glad to see them using N690 instead of D2 here. Keeping it under $50 was a bonus. If you've seen my criticism of brands like Kershaw and CRKT in recent years, this is the kind of quality for the money that makes me feel that way.

BTW, if it looks a little funny, that might be because the scale edges are offset for the liner lock. I was a little skeptical at first but it's actually quite comfortable in hand. At the very least, it's an interesting way to do lock-bar access.

Lets just say I had the opportunity to review the local concealed weapons statutes with a fine member of our local law enforcement agency today. In particular how they pertain to knives with a blade length over 3.5 inches which are not covered by the Concealed Handgun Permit I hold.He was most thorough in his explanation of the consequences of violating the ordnance with respect to my CHP and its upcoming renewal.
As I am a fast learner he kept it at a verbal lesson.
I’m pretty sure you can walk into the grocery store with a hatchet strapped on your side here and nobody would even flinch
