Yesterday I had use for my favorite ZT, the 0801BW, working on the beat-up old light bar for my beat-up old hydraulic-lift dump trailer. Like me, they're both still reasonably functional and useful, but require fairly frequent maintenance and repair.

Budget blade goodness. Had a serrated itch to scratch, and the Tenacious fit the bill for that. I haven't had a partially serrated blade in probably a decade. I need to buy a sharpener for the serrations at some point.

Not everything requires a $200+ blade

I'm carrying both the Civivi Altus Button as well as the CJRB Felspar Button that I just got. Nice action in both, and I really like the flat blades. problem is that like many old folks, I've got arthritis in my hands, and my thumbs are the worst. The Felspar button is perfect, but it's painful to push Altus' button?

QUESTION: where's the best topic to post about possible modifications, like a taller button or a weaker spring?

There are some excellent budget button locks out these days! Grabbed a conspirator after being impressed with the cogent and must say they give my Malibu a run for the money.

Haven't tried an Altus but i did experience some bad button stick with the cogent after getting some oil in there accidentally which i cleaned out to remedy.

If thats not the issue and a return/exchange is not an option, maybe try a long similar diameter spring and cut it down to different lengths to play around with in the button. Did that on a Kershaw Launch once to fix some mushiness, although thats the opposite issue, but might help with button feel assuming theres not a burr or something.
