I had the ZT re-profiled.... got rid of the original tanto tip.

Who did the reprofile?

No morning walk for me, so just a one knife day today. It was already so hot and sticky when I got up this morning that the house windows were all fogged up outside with our AC running inside. I ran some errands this morning, had lunch, and worked in the cool woodshop in the afternoon soldering another 14 pans--got 14 more to go to of the 45, then it's on to cleaning to finish the job.

Is that Deep Lake, and the peak above it?

It's Rattlesnake Lake, with Rattlesnake ridge above. Why the hell they call it that, I have no idea, because as far as I know there are no Rattlesnakes (or poisonous snakes at all) this side of the mountains (though hailing from Florida I still instinctively check every log I step over ;)). It's definitely a cool place to check out, and a great hike, but due to it's proximity to Seattle and it's rewarding views with only moderate difficulty (about 5mi total, but still a good workout) it is often unfortunately overcrowded with city folk and those searching for the perfect instagram pic. In fact, I think crowds at this place were the reason many trails got shut down for the first month or so of lockdowns. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting for sure, just not on weekends, and the further out of peak season the better. It thaws out a little earlier than some of the higher elevation hikes though, so it is perfect for getting in shape after a long winter, and the views at the top are truly amazing. One tip if you do go: the masses tend to stop at the first/main viewpoint, but if you continue just another mile or so there are two higher peaks that are usually uncrowded.

I didn't hike it yesterday though. I just happened to be in the area and decided to enjoy my sub and a beer by the lake. Here's some pics from previous visits, from the peak above. Like I said, if you haven't been there, it's a must. Not too difficult but certainly enough to get your heart pumping, and stunningly beautiful. It would be one of the first places I took someone who visited me out here.

Took a trip up to Mt. Lemmon today
Is your blade centering a little off on that lionsteel/emerson? When I screw mine down enough to center it's locking it up. Wish the bearings were a little smoother too.. might put some skiffs in it. Might not depending on whether or not yours does the same thing.

It looks okay for now but one weird thing I did have happen was my knife some how deployed in my pocket, so I ended up almost circumcising my pinky.(Probably why the flipper is bolted into the blade) As far as bearings go, they do feel sort of gritty or lack a smoothness like others. I did put some WD40 in it, that helped to some extent.
$170 > Magnacut/Aluminum knife 🤔🤨

Update*
... Okay after checking, my blade is favoring to the pocket side of the knife. I would expect better engineering/ tolerances from the Italians🤷

Yeah.. I suppose I'm probably being picky. It is kinda cheap for the materials. I'll throw some skiffs in it and see if that helps.
