Is that a birdbath fountain ?
I have the same one but I can't get it to stay in place , how do you anchor your's ?Yes, it sure is. That little solar water pump is pretty strong too. That’s the only spray head design that doesn’t overspray the bath and empty it. Made to hold a zero charge, even a slight bit of cloudy weather will make it stop pumping.
They designed the filter to be glued in place so you need scrape of brush off any little bit of debris or algae every couple of days. But the birds sure do love it and it really does help keep the water cleaner throughout the day.
If I use the suction cups, the water level has to be just too low + the suction cups don’t work on the porous type bottom of the bath I have. I just let it float on the surface and it circles the bird bath like a swimming pool cleaner.I have the same one but I can't get it to stay in place , how do you anchor your's ? Thanks I will give that a try , won't stick to the bottom of mine either .If I use the suction cups, the water level has to be just too low + the suction cups don’t work on the porous type bottom of the bath I have. I did submerge and stick it to the bottom of the dogs stainless steel smooth bottom water bowl to test it out. The pump doesn’t have the strength to pump up water if the head is submerged. You have to exactly have the water level even with the head, but then the wind blows the water stream out of the bowl and empties the bowl in about an hour.
Just letting it float and pump while going in circles was the best solution and using the single hole head keeps the spray height down so the bath doesn’t empty due to overspray.
I have put 3 rocks in a triangle around mine to keep it centered. Plus birds can perch on them. Thanks I will give that a try , won't stick to the bottom of mine either .
