EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

LimpCroissant LimpCroissant Happy trails, my man! Looks like a fun trip, always liked the idea of a nice bike ride winding up a mountain! You have tent, sleeping bags, food, fire equipment, but... where knives?! I can't find them in the picture 😂

WValtakis WValtakis Christy Cutter - the manual OTF by and for grandfathers. I absolutely love it though, it is more slick than one would think, smooth movements, not any of that "ck-ck-ck-ck" ratcheting-sound. Just three smooth placements, with a smooth return... Classic knife. Been meaning to carry mine more.

I was going to leave with this stuff, today... I just put the Cruwear to the strop yesterday, and wow! I really tuned the edge up something nice. I haven't carried any kind of Cold Steel XL or PM2 regularly in a while, so it's back to the basics with this kind of carry. Ah... this is really God's country. Back to nature, you know?

😂 The Cruwear/Micarta combination is perfect and very "woodsy", in my opinion. Steel is very stainless for being a tool steel. Good companion to my Explorer, of which I am showing off its screwdriver as part of the scale tools, the magnifying glass (helps me sharpen!) and "De Hook". I love de hook, I just wish the orange peeler was a more popular tool, esp on smaller models.

Hashishiin Hashishiin Haha true and good eye. I was thinking about that after I posted it. It's because I haven't figured out what folder to take yet and my other knives are already packed on the bike. So far I've packed a Leatherman Supertool 300 and a Mora. I wanted to bring a bunch of knives like I would if I were car camping, but I really just don't have much room for anything other than what I actually really need. I'll probably get held up and leave late just for the fact that I can't decide what folder to take. 🤣

My buck purchased 1978.
After being under 7 feet of water during a severe hurricane, this knife sat in a tool box for years. I found it and took months to bring it back to life.View attachment 1917199
Looks like you put a full life into it.

I'm off on a camping trip after lunch up Mt. St. Helens! The last pic shows all the gear I'm packing including enough food to eat plenty for 3 days (two Mt. House dehydrated meals not shown). In my other dry bags I have my tent, sleeping bags, pad, clothes, rain gear, water, and enough tools to do fix most anything that could happen although not comfortably.

Nice setup all the way around. Bet it will be a fun trip on the bike

Just picked this up from @oldmanwilly (sale went flawlessly btw).

The hype is real. While it's only a day old in my home, I can tell it's gonna create some fun memories.

I broke my dollar limit rule, but I think in this case the quality justifies the cost.

My favorite hunting knife is a CS MH (Taiwan) in CPM-3V, as it's a fantastic alloy for an outdoor knife.

This Carothers is probably gonna take that top spot.
