Happy trails, my man! Looks like a fun trip, always liked the idea of a nice bike ride winding up a mountain! You have tent, sleeping bags, food, fire equipment, but... where knives?! I can't find them in the picture

Christy Cutter - the manual OTF by and for grandfathers. I absolutely love it though, it is more slick than one would think, smooth movements, not any of that "ck-ck-ck-ck" ratcheting-sound. Just three smooth placements, with a smooth return... Classic knife. Been meaning to carry mine more.

I was going to leave with this stuff, today... I just put the Cruwear to the strop yesterday, and wow! I really tuned the edge up something nice. I haven't carried any kind of Cold Steel XL or PM2 regularly in a while, so it's back to the basics with this kind of carry. Ah... this is really God's country. Back to nature, you know?

The Cruwear/Micarta combination is perfect and very "woodsy", in my opinion. Steel is very stainless for being a tool steel. Good companion to my Explorer, of which I am showing off its screwdriver as part of the scale tools, the magnifying glass (helps me sharpen!) and "De Hook". I love de hook, I just wish the orange peeler was a more popular tool, esp on smaller models.
