I was originally thinking of either the natural-inlayed Sebenza 31 or Inkosi for Micarta Monday and somehow ended up with the Firetac instead. As I was fidgeting with it early on, I couldn't quite recall if I'd eventually changed its TriWay pivot out, the PB washers having been so surprisingly and ridiculously smooth when I first got it. As it's too tight for a good look in there fully assembled, I did a search back through my old posts here to discover that indeed I had switched out. The difference between the two systems isn't really profound as the knife still has a very hydraulic feel with the ball bearings installed.
I really like the potpourri of finishes on this one with the muted canvas striping, Battle Black blade and lockside, and its considerable variety of hardware materials. I'm going a bit ZZeroedin
here with a Multiple Pics Monday, too. Hope that's not a copyright infringement of some sort having not sought permission...
I really need a new scale for the domino. The Bill Cosby sweater pattern CF is killing me. After adding the new Taco bearings, tuning the lockbar for a lighter detent, it's a different knife. I added 10wt nano oil to the pivot and detent ball. Impressive the difference.
Probably getting boring looking at same SNG but they just fit my hands so good. Did switch my SA recruit out for the Barlow though to spice it up a bit
Thought I had posted this earlier. Let’s try this again. Super Freek was one of my late little bro’s favorites. This one is obviously never leaving the collection.
