EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

It's not stormy or rainy here today, just dull gray, a little on the cool side, and certainly another poor one for knife photography. I took these underwhelming pics late in the afternoon on the kitchen table on what began as a Giant Mouse Micarta Monday with my ACE Biblio carried IWB on my mid-day cardio laps and ended up being an iMamba Mailcall Monday with the arrival of my PJ version of that knife from South Africa via an Ohio dealer.

Well sir, what are your first thoughts on the iMamba? It’s great ain’t it? 😁

Had the Berg Blades Slim with me all day today. Spent most of the day recovering from hurricane clean up, but decided because the weather was so nice I’d go ahead and tackle the caked on mud, sand and debris that was covering 90% of my truck after driving through some flooded areas to help folks out.

I honestly thought the crap would just hose right off. Not even close. It took me an hour to clean the wheel-wells alone. Three hours later and the trucks clean, but I’m thinkin’ I’m gonna have to make tomorrow another recovery day.

Not sure that’s gonna fly with my wife though. Probably best not to push my luck.

Yeah, I like it a lot. You can check out what I just wrote in the iMamba thread. You know I usually carry bigger, but I've got 5 large Grips and they and others in that size range get run in the rotation too. Already thinking about one with inlays....

Trying hard to fit most of my week's business and work in today so I can get into the woods as much as possible for the rest of the week. Finished up just in time to run my son from school to work, grill some supper right quick (chicken sausage at my youngest's request), and then enjoy sunset on the back porch. As I do so I can't help but think that it's a shame that such beauty comes at the cost of the smoke in the air, as my heart goes out to all those impacted by the fires.

Saw a bottle of Buffalo Trace at the store, and since I'm always hearing of how scarce it is at times, I decided to nab it while I could. My first time trying it. It was nice, and I'm glad I got it to try and have in the cabinet to share, but personally I'd prefer good ol' 101 every time.
