Thanks, man. That bead's center section is copper-infused CF. I saw it at one of my favorite makers at the Artsy Craftsy site and just had to have it with no particular knife in mind. It hung around a while and when I got the Quantum Ursus NL I couldn't believe what a great complement it was for the Rosewood. This bead maker always offers a choice from numerous patterns of a modest length of paracord to accompany his work. I always choose but rarely use a piece as the cords tend to be on the stiff side--probably polyester-jacketed when all-nylon is best. This time the color seemed more than fitting as well and it does seem to be slackening more and more with carry and use.A really nice knife…but that bead is absolutely awesome!
Carrying this ol' beater while I start prepping my step-son's graduation/Christmas gift(s)...
Definitely don't want a lack of his own tools to ever be the reason he can't get his foot in the door somewhere when he starts looking for real work.

I think that's it, and I think he's off to a pretty solid start to tackle nearly any job thrown at him in an industrial/robotics maintenance position... Once he starts working he can pick up any specialty tools or specifics along the way.
Did I miss anything?
(Won't be buying any new knives for a while, that's for sure)
Your knife seems to be holding up very well with all the tasks it sees each day.
You can’t hurt them. Still as sturdy and solid as day one. They get thrown around and used like any other tool(I have no opinion except admiring some certain CRKs looks as I have never handled the knives)
I'd hope they would at the pricetag, but it seems that if I was going to start buying that level of pocketknife today, CRK and Hinderer are the ones I have seen the most actual work being done with. Seems these really are made to work.
Lol, being that it will be a gift in December, I'm leaving the label on... Keeps it looking new-new. Probably even add some ribbons and a bow!(Serious): Cool.
(Smiling): You can remove the label now.![]()
I saved a Capri Sun for you.Sooo it’s Tantrum Throwing Titanium Tanto Tuesday…now I need an adult beverage![]()
Can I be your stepson, too!Carrying this ol' beater while I start prepping my step-son's graduation/Christmas gift(s)...
