EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I am thinking of picking a Bradford. What are your impressions? Thanks

I could write a small book on this one, but in the interest of keeping it brief for the EDC thread...
- Had a G3, didn't like it, too short for my hand.
- Got this 3.5 and love it, use it all the time, perfect handle shape and fit.
- m390 works well for me. A bit of work to sharpen but stays that way for a while.
- Belt sheath was good quality, but not how I like to carry it. The Armatus and ulticlip solved that to pocket carry.
- Great little fixed EDC. I would recommend it to someone considering it.
- YMMV

Thank you for the information.

Those things are pretty sweet, I'd like to get one one of these days. The knife dealer near me works with Bradford a lot and has produced an SG2 version at a nice, high hardness. They're talking about doing another run. I think I'll grab one of those if it happens.

I had a similar experience between the G3 and G3.5. The 3.5 drops a nice round section of handle comfortably into my hand. The G3 has more selective ergonomics and the forced finger placement prevents it from being a carry option for me. The 3.5 is great, especially with the Armatus sheath.

I have the same problem with a lot of Spyderco models. The point controlling the bottom of the groove for the first finger is usually the deal breaker. Luckily, it's all scale on the Sage 5 so that was an easy mod. Otherwise, the more neutral ergonomics of the RockJumper are a win for me. Even with its apparently funky grip shape, the lack of that point on the Smock allows my hand to find a good place on it.

Late last summer a BF friend from Down Under generously sent me a bag of beads selected from those his brother makes. I used a particularly sweet one on my Cheburkov leader and having been meaning to add a couple to my FRN Delica/Endura pair. I finally got around to it after two and a half months and tied up new contrasting tails with two similar beads.

I bought this pair of knives along with another Delica for my wife several years back when KSF was closing out their Spyderco inventory. I hadn't been a fan of either back locks or FRN, nor VG10 steel for that matter, but figured the price was right and these two do have some historical significance and are sort of a benchmark in the lineage of modern folding knives. As a collector--or accumulator, anyway--of such, I felt I ought to add them to the pile. These became my woods knives for their bright, homing beacon colors.

The thing is, the more I carry and use these two, the more I like 'em. They're tuned up now to free drop to 90 degrees making it easy to finger-flick the rest of the way for one-handed closing. They're light and slim in pocket and hand and the FRN affords great grippiness. I'd be pleased with another steel with better edge retention, but they do sharpen up easily and get pretty damn keen.

I never liked the black-painted stock clips either practically or aesthetically, but sure do love this pair of Lynches that I added.
