Really…”I'm carrying a Fistful of F's for this Fearsomely Free-Falling Carbon Fiber Foreign Flipper Friday”…yep just had to Block You…so sorry My FriendI'm carrying a Fistful of F's for this Fearsomely Free-Falling Carbon Fiber Foreign Flipper Friday. This 111 was my second Shiro which I spent some time tuning for ultra-smooth opening and slightly damped free-dropping closure, later re-profiling it to 17 DPS to make it a scary-sharp cutting machine.

That finish is from heat treat and I agree, it looks awesome. Thanks man.Killer patina! Love that ex 100 too.
Good manGot this for 100 (at first) at a garage sale. Felt kinda bad, but thought hey google is free. Then she said it was her late husband’s and she didn’t know what it was worth. Gave her another hundred. We both parted happy.View attachment 2013743
But, what do I use to baton the future batonning mallet???How to Make a Mallet
I turn on our stove twice a day and use two wood "shingles" each time. The shingles are batoned from fire wood with a self-made mallet.
After a few weeks the mallet needs replacement.

Take a round piece of wood, cut it in the middle all around. You can use a hand saw, but I'm lazy

Then shape the mallet handle by batoning.

Finally smoothen the corners.

Voila.
