EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

All coppered out today. My sister just sent me this copper Zippo for christmas and had it engraved. Super nice of her. It's funny too because about a year ago I remember mentioning that I got rid my old copper Zippo because I'd brought it on every move with me and just always kept it around for yearrrrs, yet I never really used it. Ever since I put that in a Goodwill donation bag with a bunch of clothes, I kicked myself for getting rid of it. Well she remembered that tiny little bit on conversation from a year ago and got me a new one! Makes you wonder just exactly what other kind of stuff they remember. 🤯😧

Had you told me four weeks ago there’d be a time when I enjoyed carrying a fixed blade in my pocket I’d have probably chuckled.

Had you told me I’d like it so much I’d order a second version of the same knife I’d have probably said “Never gonna happen.”

I’ll tell ya’, these are some effin’ slippery slopes we walk….

I carried this Sheepsfoot Domin today. It was almost my favorite folder of the year. While the shadow-boxing of the liners looks neat, and their edges are decently rounded, it does make the knife less comfortable in hand. Otherwise, the blade shape is great, the Micarta is nice, and the action is fantastic.

It is a strange weather winter. A week ago we have -5 with -30 wind chill. Today it is raining and 60*F. No idea what to make of this weather. Trying avoid catching a serious cold which will morph into something worse

Trip to San Francisco for Christmas was my first one anywhere since COVID started...so of course I got COVID for the first time. That's after my wife had it a couple weeks ago and I somehow managed to dodge it then.

So the "house EDC" is sweats, tissues, dog, and a front flipper skinny mod s110v Para 3 abomination for mindless flicking and flipping. The front flipper works but needs a little wrist movement to deploy fully.

Nice knives. The first was not as bad as second and third nights for me. The shift I was on was 4 on, 4 off. Just get acclimated to sleeping during the day and time to roll off shift. At least with 7 nights you get almost acclimated
