This puppy is 3 years old. Girl, 40 kg. A mixture of an East European Shepherd and no one knows who.

Someone on the outskirts of the city threw a box in the trash. There were seven puppies in the box, 1 month old. A kind woman found them and gave them to a shelter for homeless animals. I took her in at the shelter.

Just Googling "Russian Fireplace" for images brings up as many different designs as there are pictures. Over here it seems a generic term for a masonry mass, extended flue wood burning heater.

The classic Russian stove is located on the first floor of the house. It cooks food both on an open fire and in the oven.

It definitely has a surface for sleeping. For two or three people. Villagers sleep on it during cold winters.

Yeah ... designed for archers, originally. Hook is to pull arrows out, apparently. I first thought it was made from a nail, but it’s molded stainless steel, then ground/hardened. Quite thick, more like a knife/prybar hybrid.

Its a decent looking blade and the leather looks very nice as well......I like the handle in leather too....

It definitely grows on you with each passing look....Looking forward to hearing some thoughts as it molds to your mitts..

Some people really make me question their regard for life, any life. Then others such as the lady that found the puppies and you for rescuing her and giving her a great home, restore some of my faith.
