I bought this knife a few years ago and have been surprised that I carry it more than my BenchMade. It's very light, easy to flip and surprisingly good steel.

I just sharpen them myself. I’ve never really understood why crk gets a bad name for edge retention. I haven’t sharpened all month and the edge is fine. Working edge is good for my uses. Not a lot of paper cutting tho

That’s a strong positive coming from you…your edges are definitely cutting more than paper!

We'd decided to drop some of the oaks at the front of our two lots between our small wetland and the unpaved road here on Cape. I started with a difficult medium sized, 50 foot plus red with a double sweep, leaning one way and imbalanced in another. I wedged it after plunging behind the face cut, but when I started cutting the strap the imbalance took over, snapped the hinge sideways, and the tree fell 90 degrees from its intended path, getting hung up in two others next to the road. We scrambled after knocking it off the stump, pulled the butt with a doubled rope to the F350, and it fell parallel to the road with no real damage done.

Anyway, it's all bucked up now and I wandered back out while J cooked supper to survey the scene and snap some Wilson Wednesday knife pics.
