How are the knife laws there…get hassled carrying them?

Laws rather prevent many knives from being imported into the country. And what about carrying large hunting knives or daggers around the city? For what?

Today was the first full day carrying the Adamas solo. I'd pocketed a bit yesterday too and was a bit surprised that, despite it being a big tank of a knife, carrying it in jeans didn't pose any particular problem either size- or weight-wise. I had given some thought to using the MOLLE compatible sheath, but it needs a Malice clip and seems awkward anyway. The knife's not light by any measure, but, at about 1.5 oz heavier than lots of those I regularly carry, it seemed fine in my right front which is usually just my knife clipped in and a small card case.

I've got another good sized knife coming tomorrow that sorta fell into my lap thanks to one of our good members here. It's something that I'd wanted for a few years and thought I'd probably not acquire without seriously overpaying, if at all. That one's quite the polar opposite of this as it's slimmer, pointier, longer, and way lighter by more than half, but for today, here's the big ol' chunk that I'm liking more and more as I go.





You get a bit of a look at the interior below, and while it's obvious that the liners are fully drilled through from the outside, these newer iterations of the 275 feature a bit more stock removal by flaring out the insides of the holes. That, along with thinner blade stock and more contouring of the scales has shaved over an ounce of weight when compared to original Adamas, though this one is certainly not lacking in robustness.

Yeah just wondering how LE looks at carrying blades around there. Here…some places care and some places don’t. Depends on what state/city you’re in etc.
