EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

All the trees in the city have blossomed!

Plum, cherry, bird cherry.

The trees are white, as if wrapped in snow.

First off, and completely on topic, I stayed with the Adamas I carried yesterday as I anticipated dropping the 60-foot oak in our side yard today (I didn't, just did a bit more prep) and wanted a beefy knife alongside.

Somewhat more off topic is today's mail call. An LE 806 (Axis lock) AFCK in M390 with an uncoated blade has always been something of a grail for me--hard to find and pretty damn expensive when you see one (usually already gone, in my case). Well this one turns out to be a unicorn as its's the only one from the 806-1101 run with uncoated blue/black G10 scales, made by BMK and submitted to KW for approval. The rest of the run of 400 had the grooved, but coated, G10 scales. My wallet took a big hit for this one and I'll be selling at least a couple to make up the diff, but, well, that's just another day in the life of a Knife Knut.

Here it is with my 806BK in D2. I like the round hole better for sure and it seems to flick open more positively than the oval.

Uncoated handle, or blade?
Here is mine from that same run, the handle looks similar but I am no expert. Great knives aren't they? :)

There was a whole run of 400, 806-1101's with uncoated blades and coated scales, the other 400 were 806BK-1101's--black blades and coated scales. While I was told that my knife was the only one of the former with uncoated scales, your scales certainly look to be uncoated as well. Our #'s are pretty close too. Hmmm....

And yes, they are great knives and I'm glad to have mine.
