EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

After about a week's run through classic, old school Benchmades, I switched up to Spyderco, though staying more of less in the same lane. While this knife is an iconic exemplar of the brand, it's not a throwback in the truest sense as it's endured as a production model for over three decades. This is one of the work knives that I carry up North for its homing beacon color while working in our woods and fields.

As we decided to drop another tree in our side yard this morning, the Endura seemed an entirely appropriate carry. You'll note in the near left background two of the most essential pieces of equipment for a septuagenarian doing this sort of work.

This tree was more unsightly than anything else, with a strong 15 degree lean directly toward our primary and largest shed. It was only about a 40-foot, 10" diameter oak so I figured to pull it down in the same direction as the adjacent 18-incher we'd just finished up. I hooked up a stout line through a pulley at about 15 degrees off its lean, tying it off to the F350, then cut the notch and felling cut off-line an additional 15 degrees past that to compensate. I left plenty of hinge this time--too much, maybe--and was surprised when I pulled it over that it fell exactly in line with with the hinge, not influenced at all by the pull-rope or its original lean. So much for not smoking the rose bushes, though only one really got it bad and will survive after pruning. Here's what's left to buck and split after limbing off the crown.
