Man I'm seeing some beautiful knives on here this week. BUT NOT TODAY for me.

Thanks - that's the "Prospex Land Special Edition" (SRPJ31-01). It's been a solid performer.

Knife is a full custom liner lock by South African maker George Baartman and features a Wharncliffe blade in Odin’s Eye Damasteel, bolsters of fire-blued mosaic Damascus by Robert Eggerling, hand-filed backspacer and the upper edge of the blade, and fossilized Woolly Mammoth tusk scales:

No tree work or splitting today. I've gotta drive down-Cape today for my too-long-overdue truck inspection--the F350 requires a DOT sticker here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts and only a few garages offer the more expensive and rigorous examination. The pick-up has sat mostly idle all winter as I've pretty much retired from carpenter work, though I've kept up the sheetmetal side. The truck was pretty grimy from the season's elements and badly needed a bath--not necessary to get it inspected, though it's kinda like getting cleaned up for a physical at the doc's office.

I wash the vehicles next to the woodshed so these Ti Tuesday Turtle pics look quite like all the others from the past week.





I sure am glad I found this buried screw eye before bucking the larger tree last week. It was used years ago to hang a hammock and would have been quite the disaster to hit with the chainsaw.
