Whoa, some sweet knives here today. That Crucarta PM2 I tell ya, if I don't know what pocketknife to grab, I grab that. Might be my favorite steel.

We were back to prepping firewood today after a short trip to the lumberyard to pick up some 5/4x6 PT to replace 8 or so deteriorated boards on my neighbors' back deck tomorrow. I split the bolts from the second tree we dropped in our side yard and J helped me stock 'em in the woodshed.

Knife-wise, seeing Z Zeroedin 's Toucan post from yesterday and a reaction from birdave over at The Channel got me into my Cheburkov stash this morning and the Frieze into my pocket. I've already conceded any pristine status for the clip, banging it up with the big-ass bead I've tied into its tail, so no worries there about carrying it while working. I like this one a lot with its generous skinner style M390 blade, grippy knurled Ti handle slabs, and surprisingly light weight for such a large knife due to nicely detailed, generous internal milling.
