EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I followed a post from Wasatch11253 Wasatch11253 over at the Cheburkov Channel to see his new Leader and his mods to the knife. That got both that knife and the Hudson out the drawer today both for carry and to see if I could convert them easily to open back construction and to relieve the tight detent/flipping action on the former knife. I found the Hudson would need a pass-through standoff to replace the backspacer, but the Leader followed our friend's simple conversion to open back and I bent its lock bar just a little, as he did, to ease the strain on my forefinger when flipping open.

I carried the Hudson out and about today and worked on the Leader after supper this evening. Here they both are approaching the "golden hour" earlier this evening.

I did the unthinkable yesterday: I used my prized Endura in 20CV like an average, non-knife-nut person. Which is to say I used it like a fool and paid the price.

I needed to add some weep holes to a tin pot I was using to re-plant my Thai chilies. All I had on me was my Endura, so I stabbed the pot, heard a light crinkling sound, and discovered chips out of the edge. I'm a little surprised at how chippy the steel was, i expected a little rolling, however the damage was 100% my fault. So, until I have time to sharpen out the chips, I chose to carry a different Spyder with a steel renowned for its toughness.

Edit to add: I definitely applied some lateral pressure when I wiggled the blade out of the tin, which is probably responsible for most of the damage. Again, 100% my fault.
Use it like a serrated knife, sharpen it like a non- serrated knife

I've always found m390 and it's analogs to be chippy regardless of hardness. I'm not a big fan.

Gotta love a guy that wears socks with Crocs lol nice
and the knife isn't too shabby either

Absolutely awesome Gary. It’s been years since I‘ve seen that but I’m actually on the floor laughing right now. And boy did I need a good laugh today! Thanks❗

I know that some of you have had a longer growing season but here in the PNW life in the garden started a few weeks ago. One of the first items to harvest is some rhubarb, . This is after pulling the batch and processing for later. Francisco Vaz Francisco Vaz made me this with paper white and ebony, not much of a work out for this but the garden is just starting to come to life🤗
