EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I carried a Lightning Elite for Tanto Tuesday. Honestly, the action on these is better than some OTF knives I've tried at ten times the price. Sure, it's only 440A or whatever but I'm really carrying this for the novelty. It worked just fine when I used it to liberate a granola bar from its package for lunch. It also held up to opening a few envelopes and cutting an errant thread from my pants.

A big thing is being sure to wipe the blade before I retract it.

Okay, so I really thought my recently coined acronym “DTK” (Dedicated Travel Knife) would be taking the industry by storm by now. Figured “DTK” would be trending everywhere as a topic and hashtag….and threads like “Show us where your DTK has been!” would be headlining all the various forums.

But alas, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Heck, I’m beginning to wonder if I may not be quite as powerful and influential as I thought?

Perhaps only time will tell.

Anyway, back on topic; we set sail yesterday with my DTK (small 31) on hand for a week long voyage. Hope to find some spectacular photo ops, though it’s not easy to whip out a knife on a ship bustling with people.

Three’s company but four’s a crowd haha.

I work in a filthy and corrosive material environment, so my carry time is much less than I would like for nice or even decent knives.

I only carry a leather man and a cheap knife (work gift) at work that I don’t care if they get lost or ruined, which happens unfortunately.

Pics deleted to try and make enough room for new ones

It's good company at least. 😜

I'm sometimes guilty of wanting to keep nice things nice. Quality budget gear is usually a happy haven for me. Some of my David Mary knives are a different story. It's like they want to be used. They're all either LC200N or MagnaCut too. If I was going to pick a nicer knife for dirty work, that'd be the ticket.
