EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

My lounging around the house lazy sofa surfing carry today was my “souvenir” from Alaska.

This is a handmade knife by Robert Cutler, an Alaskan artist specializing in fine woodworking. From what I understand, he makes only a few knives each year.

Anyway, what drew me to it is that it’s a one-of-a-kind knife made in Alaska using materials sourced from Alaska; from the moose antler bolsters and inlays to the various types of wood used for the scales.

I realize it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it screamed “Alaska” the moment I saw it.

Plus, I’m currently stuck in that awkward space between Large and XL shirts. Large are too small, XLs are too big…..so a souvenir t-shirt was off the table altogether.

That handle work is done very well, that's a cool looking knife in my book 🤙

What a beautiful knife my Friend !

Blorkie...

So Skiff finally has 5mm glide rings with 3/64" bearings. I just dropped a pair into my Yorkie. The action was okay before the swap. Now it's fantastic!

I'm sure it'll get carried later in the week. In the meantime...

Today was spent with this Petrified Fish 818 in my pocket. Yes, it too is running Skiff bearings. (5mm, 1/16") Who says a $30 knife can't run $12 bearings? 😜

I don't even know how the tuxedo Yorkie could ever be improved, or if it's like that for all of them. The only thing that could improve would maybe be a touch of smoothness, the lockup and action are perfect as is, it's a freakishly awesome liner lock
