Thought that was ivory for a second, Gary, but guess it's micarta. Nice pairing.
Thanks! The tube cap calls it Unicorn Ivory Acrylic, Vince. It's a pretty cool material. It has a pattern. Not sure what makes it unicorny, but it is interesting.Thought that was ivory for a second, Gary, but guess it's micarta. Nice pairing.
There is something to be said though for rains. When I worked in south Florida I somewhat looked forward to the rainy season. Yeah the contractors I oversaw had some short days but at the end of the day it was nice. Get to the RV, get the steak on the grill just right, hide and horns knocked off and a bic lighter passed around the steak. Good bourbon and the lawn chair. As long as the thermocell held out it was a very relaxing evening
Great photo!
WE Charith where’d they get that name?!

Hey thank you. It was made out of leftover in my little shop of the time, hence the combination of cocobolo and micarta handle, I just didn't have a cocobolo piece big enough to make the whole handle with. First time is used blind pins to hold the micarta scales, never though they would hold on for so long, but apparently they did, for 34 yearsThat fixed blade you made looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
