EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

You’re killin’ me here! I’m still “patiently” waiting for mine to arrive. Lol.
What are the specs on yours?

I love this knife, Chazzy. ;) One day. One day.
Thanks, S&F. I really lucked out with this one, picking it up off the Exchange from one of our good members as is with all the sweet upgrades already installed, mostly as he found it at AZCK. I felt a little bad as he wrote soon after that he'd love to buy it back if I was so inclined. I'm perfectly happy to live with that feeling as I love it too and it's not going anywhere before I do.

Some guys don't like recurves, but I really enjoy them on a few of my favorite knives. I'm also a fan of Battle Black and Blackwash--for coated blades and slabs it's a great finish that looks good when fresh and maybe even better with wear, kinda the way black oxide clips do.

This is a HIGO II TI in YXR7 at 64.7 HRC. Very fun knife that I have been enjoying a lot. The pivot has broken in enough that I can now thumb flick it open. Very smooth action, that is similar to the hydraulic feel of a sebenza, but smoother. The titanium handles are showing some scratches in the coating, but the blade doesn’t show any scratches at all once I clean all the gunk off from cutting. Both blade and handle are fingerprint magnets.

The blade is very hard and sharp, but it isn’t magic. It does get dull after use, and I touch it up on a leather honing wheel once it doesn’t cleanly cut paper. Typically one pass per side is enough to bring the edge back where I want it.

I wish they had done a better job with the pocket clip. It just doesn’t match the quality of the rest of the knife. It is very functional though, no issue of retention.

Overall, very pleased. I hope you get yours soon and that you enjoy it!

Awesome! Thank you for the very good mini-review. 👍🏼I actually bought the Higo JH. Didn’t know there was this upgraded version! Ti scales!! Oh man! :)

I’m sure I’ll like it enough. Sold my Higo X in Ironwood a while back and kinda miss a Rockstead in the collection…so that is how my Higo JH came about.
