Thanks. The Umnumzaan and 1911 were bought around the same time in 2009 or 2010, and have both been carried quite a bit since then. 1911 is a Rock River Arms (not RIA) from their semi custom days, and is incredibly accurate. It got me successfully through Rogers Shooting School a few years ago. I blasted it with CLP Break Free when I could notice the slide cycling start to slow down after around 2000 rounds that week. It finished the rest of the class with no issues. Not really sure on current round count.

Umnumzaan has scales marked A-09 and B-09. It is missing the rubber o rings, but other than that it is just as smooth or smoother than when it was new. Sharpens up easily.

Thank you. Nice 1911 and knife. I carry a Glock almost every day. The other days are a Kimber but there is something classy and classic about a 1911.
Very nice setup
Don't forget about us cheapo's !

Big belly............. it ain't no Chris Reeve but she cuts like one

My most expensive knives is way cheaper than the cheapest CRK. In fact, 99+% of my knives are old school USA Schrade, a few Case and a few Bucks. I paid more for my Buck 317 than any other knife I own.
In the evening I took a walk along the promenade with my wife.

So I found myself dabbling in another trade today (shh) as a long time client has four weeks of summer rentals in his Cape house and the flood that lights up the way from the porch to the driveway finally died after 60+ years. You can't get any mechanical subs out on short notice here, and I didn't want my son who's a licensed journeyman to feel jammed up between his boss and his dad, so I just did the work myself (shhhhh!).

I figured it was my chance to go all Dcdavis Dcdavis , up in the air flirting with electrons and using my knife. I often use a Festool guide as a shelf across the stabilizer when I'm up on ladder, so I shot this pic after getting the new LED flood in place and fired up.

I know--pretty weak, huh? Not daring or death defying or risking the welfare of my blade with my feet maybe 8' off the ground and the work at 14'. I think it's really best I stay in my lane, ya think?
