I used a muriatic acid bath on the hardware, then went at them a bit with a wire brush. Scales are from a seller called Votixedc, out of Australia. Fit a finish are superb.

Any specific % of acid or will the 37% HCl I have lying around work?

I imagine that would work. I've kept the hardware in the solution for upwards of half an hour at times depending on the original finish.

I did 96 once, first 8 regular, 2nd 8 @1.5, 3rd 8 and then on double time! Hurricane support in a nuke plant. The guys out on the bucket trucks putting everything back together made that look like nothing. When they did a road trip to support a disaster in another state they absolutely killed it, they earned every penny, it was killer work.

I'm carrying the SOG Altair with XR lock, Canyon Red GRN handles and CRYO CPM 154 blade steel. I guess you could say it's SOG's answer to the Benchmade Bugout, which I also own and enjoy carrying. Both knives are great examples of super lightweight knives, and I love them!
Nice. I used to have that exact same watch model, but traded it in for a different one with white pebbled dial to match my 3-hander...
I love those knives!
For today, as long as the SAK remains shiny, this is the pair.

Very nice! My MKM Flame is just a bog standard Ti frame lock with CF scale on one side.
