EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Throwback Thursday. Been carrying a Spyderco every day this week. Today was the GB1 which was my first Spyderco, just about ten years ago.

Tomorrow for carbon fiber flipper framelock Friday is the Southard. The new bearings have finally broken in, and it's much improved. The old ones were in such terrible shape.

My new Marksman, I'm a huge fan of this lock mechanism. Very neat.

How does it work? Pull back on the leaf spring-looking part?

I thought I was the only one who had one of those; (A.G. Russell Lightweight) I just LOVE it! I cheaped out a bit and got the AUS 8A steel instead of VG-10, but I really like the knife. I got the kydex necklace for it too. Anyone who wants a Delica, but a little cheaper and a bit more elegant and can go without a pocket clip; this is The Way to Go.

SHF 3.25 for a Thirsty Thursday.

I know….”Thirsty Thursday” comes across as a pathetic, desperate attempt to hitch my wagon to a theme.

My rationale was that it was wicked hot today, and when you’re hot you get thirsty….which brings the “Thirsty Thursday” into play.

Yup, I hear it too. Even with the explanation it reeks of desperation.

I’m guessing “Thirsty Thursday” isn’t gonna catch on and become a thing, but just in case……remember where ya heard it first.

Edit: I was writing this late last night and it took me a while to figure out why I was having trouble posting pics--Platinum subscription had run out. I got it renewed, but said F***it and went to bed, leaving this post unfinished until this morning.

I spent some time going through gear over in the wood shop this afternoon, sorting out attachment hardware and tools, some recently received, for two corded grinders plus a newer cordless grinder and router pair. I had the 94(3)-1 Franken on me and got some pics by the retaining wall out front.
