EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I continued my run of budget knife carry as we finished treating our leaching system today. I put away the Kizer Vanguard Intrepid and moved up one drawer in that box to the largely budget tier of my Spyderco's with my accumulation of 5 Tenaci, an FRN Delica/Endura pair, and another more upscale pair of those in Pakkawood and HAP40. I've got kind of a weak spot fo the Tenacious and particularly like the handle material of this one, though the G10 has exhibited the same ashy spotting as yesterday's Kizer.

I treated it similarly with WD40 to what seemed great results results and stuck it in my pocket for the tasks ahead. At the end of the day, taking some pics, I noticed a few light patches near the pivot on the reverse side.

The show side seemed fine.

I really like the contrast between the skeletonized bright steel liners, the pale edge of the natural G10, and the thin lamination of the see-through red top layer with the chamfer showing up just a bit darker.

I gave it another wipe-down with WD when I came back in, the white spots now seem to be gone, and the surface looks much better overall. That's a lotta posting and pics for a $40 8CR13MOV knife, huh? I really should spring for the LW version in S35VN as I really like the pattern and have grown to appreciate FRN too. Of course that would also lead to pairing it with a Resilience LW and finding more room in the drawer for that too. :rolleyes:
