EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Hmmm. I thought BM only uses cerakote on their blades. I prefer a good hard DLC that doesn't wear down as fast as Cerakote or other forms of PVD material. DLC is of course one type of PVD process, as other materials can be used for the application as well.
Oh, I wasn't aware that PVD is a process that you can use different type of coatings with, thanks for the intel! Yea, there's atleast 2 different Shootouts that are DLC coated. Mine, which they call the handle color "Mint Green", and there's also a red handled one, both with DLC. They run a little more than the Cerakoted ones, however they discontinued them so I got it for a deal. You should get the red one, then we can be the DLC brothas 🤙

Takin it back to the old school yesterday evening. I found this old Sears Craftsman the other day in my box o' knives. I don't have even the faintest recollection of where it came from, but I found an old "Let's see your Sears Craftsman knives" post here on BF from 5 years back or so and looks like there's plenty of people who really like them. I really like it too. I'm going to clean it up a bit, give it a sharpen, and I'm thinking about maybe seeing about carrying just it for one week like our pops' did. Also have my composite Leek from Kershaw's glory days with CPM-D2 on the cutting edge, and (I think) 14C28N on the main blade stock. 👌

Cold Steel Mini Recon 1. I love this little guy; AUS-10A steel is one of my favorites. Good ergos and a very strong blade. There’s something satisfying about when a TriAD lock engages, isn’t there?

The watch is a lesser-known brand that is American but has an Italian name. It checks all the boxes for a good field watch: titanium case with integral strap bars, a recessed sapphire crystal and a Japanese quartz movement that will run for 10 years on the CR2012 battery.
