Wowwy wow wow. Wow

Today I'm sporting a Thanks Brand Knive's fixed blade in Cruwear made by Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer . I was lucky enough to get in on the passaround he generously hosted for this bad boy. I gotta say, I'm really impressed! My favorite handle materials (at this moment in time) are titanium and linen micarta, this guy's got really nicely textured and contoured linen micarta, with a backing of red and white g10 (I believe). It fills my hand nicely, and has a nice, soft, and smooth, handle that's given me enough grip for everything I've done. For me, this style of knife really shines as a do-all camp knife, from making wooden stakes, to cleaning an animal, to whittling, and camp cooking. I've been cutting all my veggies and everything with it against a wooden cutting board all week and it's been great. I've really been having my eye on a Spydiechef lately, and this knife kind of reminds me of it. The convex edge cuts like a demon too.

Oh, and the sheath... I'm not just saying this because it was a passaround knife and I'm thankful to have got a chance to use it, the sheath is really good. It forms really well to the knife with hardly any movement at all. Something that you don't really get much in a production knife.

I also got the good ol' trusty Mnandi. Not much to say on that one, besides it's probably enough knife for most of our folder uses, while lookin dang good at the same time. Really, if a guy had a knife similar to the Mnandi, and a fixed blade, I think most of us would be A-OK. 👌 Hope ya'll have a good sunday! 🤙

Haha, no I've never used Photoshop or any other editing software for my knife photos, except for the filters that they provide when you post something on instagram. I'll use those sometimes if my lighting wasn't very good. These are just straight off my Samsung S20 with good outdoor lighting. 👌 It doesn't have as good a camera as some of the newest phones, but my phone pictures always surprise me, the camera is much better than the cameraman! 😂

I thought I had a professional photographer worked out for some of my work, but it didn't work out like I hoped.....so my pics are going to lack for the time being, because I Hope I don't have to get a different phone anytime soon... :/

I hear ya, getting a new phone is expensive and stressful, your knives sure would appreciate it though. It makes such a huge difference being able to take real good, clear pictures of your wares when your a knifemaker. I swear, I think that some of the knife dealer sites sell more knives just because they have really good pictures, and the others just use a scanner or use stock pics. I know that when I've sold knives in the past, they sure sell a lot faster when I take really good outdoor pics of them. I was a lot more impressed with your knife here when I was able to see it up close in detail, then what I could see from some of the pics I'd seen of it.

I always thought it would be cool to be a professional knife photographer like SharpByCoop SharpByCoop . Going to different shows and taking pictures of the craziest knives I can imagine. Maybe someday. I think I'd rather make knives myself though first.

Bladeforums has been beyond good to me....You guys (All) are going to make me blush.... Haha, plus I don't have time for That..... I've got too many knives I gotta make for Ya

I mentioned over at the Bears' Den yesterday that I might be going on a little Shirogorov jag this week as I haven't carried any of my accumulation of those for a while. Today I went with the Good Doctor. It's definitely the priciest of my pile o' knives, but it still gets carried and used in a usual EDC capacity as it's way too good a knife to languish in a drawer. I like that it packs an almost 100mm blade in such a light (3.125 oz), compact package, and is kind of a somewhat larger, Russian version of my BMK 94(3)-1 Franken. Shoulda thought of that and gotten some side-by-sides earlier....
