Hipster EDC featuring the James "Carter" Damascus folder, RovyVon Aurora transparent flashlight, and Hohner Special 20 blues harp. Watch is by Smith & Wesson (I know, I haven't changed the date in a while).

Awesome EDC set! The Special 20 harp is what jumped out at me the most. I just ordered 3 Stage 1 custom Marine Bands from Joe Spiers and plan to have those ready in March.

Do you play in a band currently?

The last couple-three days have been spent with my newest and thinnest knife, most appropriately named the Narrows. I figured to flip the script today and almost went with my Adamas when looking for a spot in my crowded Benchmade storage for the new blade. Instead I went into the American mid-tech drawer for not only a polar opposite but a knife with the longest (thickest) name in my accumulation, though I'll take some liberties and stretch it out to the RJ Martin Three Rivers Manufacturing Monkey Edge Frag Pattern Machine Flipper. On the other hand, many of those are commonly initialized, but would still be a mouthful as the RJMTRMMEFPMF--in CTSXHP, BTW.

Here it is on some Balsam Fir limbs we pruned off the bottom of the Christmas tree we wrestled into the house this afternoon.

And here's a shot of the spine to emphasize the difference from the Narrows with the RJM's 9/16" handle and 5 mm blade stock. You might also notice how its palm swell is not only vertical as you can see above, but is accentuated in thickness by tapering in from both ends with an overall mid-handle increase in girth as you can see below that gives the knife a unique feel in hand.

With its rather tactical, Spanto-style blade, this one is not much of a slicer, but it's got a deep hollow grind, is really thin behind the edge, and I've read that its convex edge was done by RJ's own hand, making it a very functional cutter.
