Hope y'all are having as nice a Christmas as we did here, though ours didn't unfold along very traditional lines. With the youngest of our three grown sons staying home in RI with his girlfriend and our middle one living in LA with his wife and our grandson we had our oldest, who lives in the next town, come over last evening to hang out overnight. He hung the rest of the ornaments on the tree while we watched our annual family Christmas movie--
Die Hard--then slept in the spare room which on-and-off had been his growing up.
This morning had my wife and him up early as I caught some extra zzz's coming back from my cardiac procedure. We hung out after with no real gift-giving as that had all been taken care of earlier family-wide with us so spread out now. By mid-morning our electrician son was out in the yard starting his gift to us, digging a trench from the shed to wire and install power outlets on a stub near my wife's garden. It was a warm December day and we hung outside, helping him a bit in his work with a few tools, supplies, and minor assistance. We texted with our more distant family, enjoyed the big mid-day country breakfast I cooked, with J finishing his work after while my wife and I brought in firewood then helped put everything away. It was so nice, the three of us hanging out and getting something done together right here where our family grew up. Great Christmas!
I got a lot of knife pics today of my Christmas CruCarta Carry, but will stick with just the one that's holiday appropriate, taken on the neck bow of one of the string-lit white metal deer my wife put out next to the shed. You'll note the three Christmas ornaments I had custom made with images of an old guy taking knife pics.
Merry Christmas, BF!!
