I stuck with Al Mar again for a SERE 2000 Saturday. This thing is one of the smoothest knives I've handled. Running on nylon washers, it flicks out with authority, closes like a dream, and is absolutely rock solid in every way. The F&F on this baby is absolutely outstanding. I feel very lucky to have found this earlier version on the Exchange listed by our friend

as I much prefer the black G10 to the OD green handled models, which seemed to be the last of the Moki-made knives that were still available at the time.

The knife came to me with an interesting blued clip that was a little beat up. I was fine with it but found this very nice bright polished one in the box under the packing. I really like butt mounted clips and have had a few over the years. It's a great way to get reversible and deeper carry without a bunch of holes in the scales or too much prominence in hand.
