This old stray cat has been coming around a few times a week for the past few months. He'll call out to let me know he's ready for his food and water so I bring it out to him.

He's a pleasure to have around and he behaves well around my cat but she doesn't like him at all. You can pet him and he likes it but he wants to rough house. He'll swat at you and playfully bite on your big toe if you don't have shoes on. He really just wants somebody to rassle with.

Even though he's always welcome here, I've started calling him Stranger.

These nice high end aftermarket scales look great! But I'm slightly confused when I see you post them, because you make nice high end aftermarket scales. I'm guessing textured Ti and Cu is tough to make though, so I understand your reasoning. That DLC and your copper both look awesome. Good grabs.
I am a knife nut too, just like everyone else here.
I make scales by hand to help supplement my knife hobby/habit, I have no cnc.
So, yes I am able to make scales out of most materials.
But currently I am not equipped to work with metals.
But these are really cool and I wanted them.
The copper is cool cause I got to force the patina myself, the stonewashed DLC is just my favorite finish, it’s absolutely beautiful. Love it.
Thank you, am very pleased.

I can't seem to put this one down. We were gonna go to Town Meeting this evening, so I switched to my new ACE Biblio natural Micarta for something smaller. Accordingly, we had an early dinner but decided "Nah" while we ate and stayed home. As soon as I was done eating, I set the Giant Mouse aside and picked up my new Russian prize again.

Gary, I have the same practic. I've carried and used it as much or more than any knife I own. The edge is so thin that it slice's unreal! It will hold a edge for weeks and touch up is easy on a diamond stone. My practic got very scratched from using it as work knife ( Carpenter) so I acid etched. Heck it's in my pocket right now!! Enjoy it my friend it's a great knife.

That's good to hear and I agree, I should have gotten this a long time ago but for some reason held off, I really like the size and like you said, it's a slicer!

ps, post a pick of that acid etch when you can!

Oh, good to see one of my all time favorite knives in such a great shape !
You have no idea what I'm putting trough my GB1... I broke the tip of it working on a lock and I did fix it,
it's an outstanding design !
I've being caring this-one for the last week or so, very few knives will take such an abuse and have no issues at all:

Dannng homie! :D
It pains me to see that tip broken but it warms my knife knut heart to see that you use the hell out of that GB.
Nice save, fixing the tip.
BTW, I agree with you about it being a outstanding design. It is the best workin' knife that Spyderco ever made.... IMHO.
