EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Morning.

A couple changes:
Switching to the Imperial Frontier 4435 large Double Eagle stockman (The Frontier "Double Eagle" series were all equipped with 440A blades, shiny brass bolsters, and wood covers. The standard Frontier had 1095 blades, NS bolsters, and Delrin covers.) and 2137 SS Case Sodbuster Jr. (in the stud closure dangler sheath)

SAME:
CRKT M21-02G (still in right leg cargo pocket.)
Toferner (clipped to a forward belt loop, hung in RFP)
No name neck knife.

I had to ask a buddy the name of that neck knife, we both recognized it immediately - its the same profile as the now discontinued Benchmade Follow-Up!

It isn't a BM though.
If it was I could not afford one in what time I have left in this "lifetime".

The one I have isn't a BM, but it took the compromise 12.5° per side edge angle I reprofied to, seems to be holding it without rolling - or ever so much worse - chipping, and has (so far) cut everything I used it on. (admittedly, to date cardboard is the "hardest" use I"ve given it.)
So far, I'm satisfied with it.

If it is offending, let me know and I won't show it again. I'll just refer to it as "a no name neck knife" as part of my carry.

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION OF "COMPROMISE":
When I was taught how to freehand sharpen 64 years ago, by 4 (four) generations of family members on both sides of the family, they were unanimous on these points:
1) A knife (includes a meat cleaver) should be sharpened to 10° per side ~ 20 degrees inclusive; +/- 2 degrees.
2) PUSH - NEVER PULL the edge on the stone.
3) A burr is a VERY BAD thing! If (when) you got a burr/wire edge, profanity aimed in your direction, along with impolite names, your (low to non-existant) value as a person/"human", no supper, early bed time, NO SATURDAY A.M. CARTOONS FOR A MONTH!!! were sure to follow.
4) "STROP (leather or canvas strop, no polishing compounds or rouge) BEFORE REACHING FOR THE ARKANSAS STONE(S)! 8 of 10 times stropping will restore the working edge."
5) "A "Razor Edge" (or "razor sharp" isn't necessary, and is a waste of time and blade steel. The razor edge is gone after the first or second ... maybe third cut, leaving you with the working edge."
6) An axe, adze, hatchet/tomahawk, and other chopping tools and a FROE ... even tho the Froe is not a chopping tool ... should be sharpened to 15° per side/30° inclusive.

Therefore, the 12° per side/24° inclusive edge I reprofiled the no name neck knife is a compromse, to take into account the unknown blade steel. (allegedly "S30V" but more likely 7CR17MoV or 9CR18MoV, based on how it behaved on my guided rod sharpener's diamond plate. I am confident it is not 3 or 5 CR15 MoV, or 420J2.)

Oh no offense taken on my part, it just bugged me that I could recognize the knife but not what it was called, and thought you or others might be interested in knowing if they didn't already. 😊
